He will be on smallville probly till the end of season 6.

The way I tell is if they have their name / picture in the opening credits. Remember Whitney from the first few seasons.
I guess they are testing the waters with his character. If people like him, maybe they will move him as a credited person.
I love Smallville as much as the next person, but I am not sure how much longer the show can go on.
The story lines are getting thin.

the previews for this week have a lot of the Justice League charactors in it - cyborg, agua man maybethe flash. Not sure where the story line is going but maybe they will expand on the show or come up with way to end the series - clark should be becoming a reporter soon.
