They do. Really- I promise.
Thing is, people spend most of their day thinking about what they have to do next. No-one really spends time anymore listening- this includes women! I know I'm guilty of not paying as much attention as I could.
I think it's unfair to men to stereotype them this way. Most of my friends are men- and they listen and care more than most of my female friends.
Perhaps you aren't letting him answer, or maybe you aren't hearing what he's saying unless he says what you want to hear. Either way, slow down a minute and give them a chance.
My boyfriend always listens and cares- he can remember conversations we had almost 2 years ago... even when he can't remember to take his lunch to work! My best friend from high school (also male) listened and helped me through some of the roughest years of my life. My gaming buddies (all male... yes, video games!) all listen to what everyone has to say and they care when people aren't going to be somewhere or are sick... it's great to have a group of supportive friends!
That said, yes, there will be times when everyone doesn't listen- men and women both. There are guys who are jerks most of the time. But really, if the man is only "listening" to seem to care to get in your pants, you don't really need them. And there are exceptions to everything.
Bottom line is: yes, they do listen. Don't judge the group by a few individuals.

Despite your question slagging off soccer fanatics, i am going to answer your query honestly. Yes, i'm comfortable England didn't qualify. 1) considering we didn't deserve to, we weren't excellent adequate and 2) considering that hopefully the overpaid primadonnas shall be sitting at home (their luxurious houses) observing the soccer and be embarrassed at how we below-performed. I don't expect England to qualify for tournaments (however I do assume just a little of ardour and a little of want) I watch a few of these groups in Euro 2008 and that i think how proud their fans and countrymen have to be with their avid gamers. Despite results, how can Turkish supporters no longer be delighted with their performances? The Croats sing their country wide Anthem and have delight their nation like their lives rely on it. Lots of the English gamers mumble just a few phrases (in the event that they bother in any respect) The English soccer staff is not a crew - they don't seem to be secure on the ball (just like the Dutch) and even our so-referred to as first-rate eleven is not just right enough to compete with other nations. I cannot title one England participant who I believe would get into the commencing 11 of lots of the nations that qualified for the quarter finals of Euro 2008. I do not suppose now we have a world type player. If we did, why would we be raving about Torres and Ronaldo a week in the Premiership. In the end, who was once the top English goalscorer this season simply long gone!!! Jermain Defoe with 12 and he needed to exchange clubs to try this!

Men do listen and they do care. They just don't read into everything like women do. When you talk to a man you have to be straight forward and say exactly what you mean. Men don't play head games and they don't read between the lines, read facial expressions, or play the "guess what I really mean" game. If you're straight forward they get it. If you want something ask for it. If they forget, remember they're human and remind them. We all forget things. We all tend to think everyone should remember everything we say, but we often forget what others say sometimes too. You just need to realize men and women are different and we communicate in a different way.

regardless of your question slagging off football followers, i'll respond to your question certainly. convinced, i'm satisfied England did not qualify. a million) because we did not should, we weren't adequate and a couple of) because with slightly of success the overpaid primadonnas will be sitting at living house (their luxury houses) observing the football and be embarrassed at how we below-carried out. i do not anticipate England to qualify for tournaments (yet I do anticipate a touch activity and a touch want) I watch a number of those communities in Euro 2008 and that i imagine how proud their followers and countrymen should be with their gamers. regardless of consequences, how can Turkish supporters no longer be extremely joyful with their performances? The Croats sing their nationwide Anthem and function delight their usa like their lives matter upon it. lots of the English gamers mumble some words (in the experience that they problem in any respect) The English football team isn't a team - they don't seem to be mushy on the ball (like the Dutch) or maybe our so-called perfect 11 isn't adequate to compete with different international places. i'll't call one England participant who i imagine might want to get into the starting up 11 of lots of the international places that qualified for the quarter finals of Euro 2008. i don't think we've a international type participant. If we did, why might want to we be raving about Torres and Ronaldo a week interior the Premiership. regardless of each thing, who became the right English goalscorer this season in basic terms lengthy gone!!! Jermain Defoe with 12 and he had to modify golf equipment to attempt this!

We men cannot cope with concentrating on 2 things at once, therefore if I am on the computer and its coffee time I may not hear.
Its not deliberate, and believe me we do care.
The caring thing is that men have a different perspective on things and also on prioritising, it means that whereby you see a new dress as essential we would not notice the new hairstyle you need the dress to go with.

We do listen and care. But if I'm spoken to in a way that I find irritating, I just ignore and don't respond. In my experience, I've concluded that instead of shouting back and arguing, nothing annoys women more than a man that doesn't listen to what they're saying!

It's a skill passed down from father to son, at certain times a filter slips down inside the skull separating ears and brain. A few nods, uh hums and the occasional I agree and all the troubles in the world just vanish.
It's like a form of Zen Buddhism really

They feel that what you are saying is not important, especially if you are constantly talking. How is he to know how to filter out the random blah-blah-blah from the important things?
Just know when to talk and how to get his attention. Don't ask him something during a football game- you'll get silence. I think it's funny, but some women might feel it's heartbreaking.
