dell P991color monitor on XP home will not change settings of 480x600 and 4 bitys of color?

XP was just reinstalled. Another monitor shows the same problem

It is not the monitors ... it is the video card driver.
It must be correctly installed for the proper resolutions to show as options.

If under "adapter" it says "standard VGA" then this is indeed the case.... it doesn't recognize your video card.
