am having trouble with my mp3 player?

Its a Creative Nomad Jukebox somthing. Whenever I try to connect my mp3 to my computer it freezes. I have tried to renstall the software, same result, is there anything else I can do to make it work? sending it in and getting a new one is not an option.

if it were just bought get it replaced straight away
