Firstly, try and see this as a bit of a learning curve. Many people get referrals on modules so don't worry about people thinking you're slow. There are many reasons people get referred, not just down to intelligence! And remember you haven't outright failed it!

I think the the important thing, in your case, is to ask your tutor where you went wrong, so you don't repeat mistakes, and work to not feel self conscious -in drama, I think this is particularly important -so try throwing yourself into your work!

One of the most brilliant people I know has degrees in political science and theatre. He speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and English and leads a charmed life, so he has adventures all over the world. He was required to take a dance class as part of his theatre degree, and he said he spent the entire time feeling both embarrassed and confused.

Everybody has different strengths and different weaknesses, and you may not be what we call a kinaesthetic learner. I've linked a quiz below to help you determine what your strengths are.

All that being said, I really have no idea what you mean by a referral either.
