if i got a new hard drive for the ipod would be like new... cause the one i got has problems ... so the question is ...what parts do i need to get to get it to act like new.. internally not externally...also where is a good reliable place to do it and how much would the parts cost? thank you in advance for any help you could provide

the best place to go for any kind of ipod parts you might need is www.ipodmods.com . They also have the price listed. To replace a harddrive you just need a hard drive. But its a delicate process. You might want to send it to these guys who'll do it for a fee.
One important thing is a new 30 GB Video ipod harddrive would cost you 175$ and a new ipod comes for 250$. Unless you are using an older ipod.... the choice is yours..

I cant recall the website off hand, but do a search on the internet for "ipod hard drive hack"
All you really need to purchase is the hard drive.

You might be better off just buying a new ipod, if getting a new harddrive is as much as a new battery, why not just upgrade to a new one?

apple ipod does not get affected , either it works or it does not work at all , be comfortable with out worries
