loosly tie a low ponytail. if you use a ribbon, it will be messier. let some loose strands of hair hang around your face. dont use any type of gel or hairspray, natural will be prettier and messier

Make a ponytail. When you put the rubber band on, don't pull the hair all the way through the last time, leave it looped with the ends sticking out of the rubber band.
Then arrange the ends however you want for a messy look.
