im really getting tired of hearing the same old crap from the same old people. "liberals hate america." that has to be the stupidest comment anybody could ever make. so please, give me some examples of how liberals hate america.

i think this comes from the ultra-conservative talk shows, like rush limbaugh, sean hannity, and ann coulter (from her book) and less from intelligent thought. and our "wonderful" president also stated that you are either for us or against us, which implied if you dont follow what he does then you are un-american. well its the duty of people to disagree with their leaders if they dont feel they are doing right. but that doesnt mean we are un-american.

"Dissent is your right as a citizen and your duty as a patriot"
- Thomas Jefferson

i dont remember any liberals saying conservatives hated america when they blasted clinton. its sickening to hear that from people. its time to grow up and face the facts that not everybody will agree with you

I don't care for the "so-and-sos hate America" argument very much myself. As I've commented before, I think liberals and conservatives are trying to achieve similar goals but with very different method of getting to an America where everyone lives to the fullness of their potential. However, I do believe there is a cadre of hard leftists (and I'm Talking HARD LEFTISTS) who do hate America. These are people who, for reasons known only to them, despise personal liberty. These people also hate wealth accumulation for others but want it for themselves (usually without having to work for it), they hate other people's personal success (not just financial but in marriage, social, personal goals), and they hate spiritual happiness (total disdain and personal zealotry against religion). You can see a few of these people in liberal circles but even most liberals don't want to have much to do with them.

Cindy Sheehan went to Chavez and declared the US a terrorist nation, she is supported politically from many liberals in Congress as well as a large population of the American left. Michael Moore produced a "hit" that had admitted lies in it about America. The left hailed this as a triumph of truth. The Muslim terrorists used this film as a recruitment tool. A left wing protest in Washington DC called for Bush to stand trial as a war criminal, while at the same time defended Saddam Hussein. Although some may call this dissent, they express views contrary to the constitution of the US. They try to circumvent US law whenever they feel something isn't in their interest. (ex. Bush v. Gore election debacle)
Instead of trying to solve problems, they complain, come up with incorrect protest chants (Bush lied, people died) and use emotionalism to try and change public opinion rather than logic.

Well, I don't think they hate America, I think they are just like whining children when they are not in power. I think it is perfectly fine to disagree with your leaders, but these Left-wing kingpins have a hidden agenda when they say "bring home the troops."

It is known that the left has held a long-time disdain for the American Military. They don't care about our soldiers, they are just advancing a hidden agenda: Bring home the troops so Bush fails.

I never thought you folks hated America, per se. Yes, you blame America as almost a knee-jerk reaction to any issue in the world, and your actions sometimes harms America and your policies undermine the Constitution.

I think you're misguided and have completely misunderstood the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and every principle this country was founded upon, and that your policies have done more to undermine my rights and freedoms, but I don't think you hate America.

But I still think you're f**king up America, big time.

Many, including myself, have already answered this:

Again, I think a better way to state the problem is that the EFFECT, the reasonably forseeable effect, of actions such as Dick Durbin comparing our troops to Nazis or Ted Kennedy comparing them to Saddam Hussein is to embolden our enemies. How do you think our troops react to such a statement? How do you think our enemies do? Wasn't there another way to make the point without this? Did "right wing talk show hosts" make up these quotes? I've heard them on tape!

I'd be curious to know YOUR response to these comments? Why wouldn't they provoke your outrage, rather than the reaction to them?

I just answered in another question, I would like Conservative Republicans to have a National "I Won't Try to Sell Hate Today" day, for one day they have to actually back up their ridiculous statements with facts. Biggest difference between Libs and Cons, Libs use facts, Cons use names.

First of all...tx girl...that is weak and a stretch. Nobody is advocating pulling out altogether, but a PLAN would be nice. We have gotten nowhere in four years in Iraq.

It's a fools fool-proof method of shaming the other side. Just like the non-sequitor: "Either you're with me or you're with the terrorists," it means nothing but to the naive.

The liberals think we should pull our troops which would only put our nation at risk to terrorists. So there's example 1!
