Not new movies, but great DVDs I've seen recently have been:
Brassed Off (Ewan McGregor, Stephen Tompkinson and a brass band all in one movie - what more can a girl ask for?!)

"little Miss Sunshine" it was great...try it...you won't be disappointed.
"Talladega Nights:The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" this had us falling on the floor laughing. If this is your kind of humor rent the unrated version.
"Invincible" great feel good true story.
