strange it harldy snows on texas but it is, ive over heard it called slit something like that, it isnt as the same snow that falls up in the north, whats the difference,? if there any..

there is no difference snow in texas and snow in north are falling for same reason.....cause its friggin cold. but i live in record high temperatures florida. i think i might go to beach today. just kidding. it is pretty darn warm down here though.

I live in Texas and got 4 inches of snow. That is twice in 4 years... Almost unheard of. Before the snow in '04 it had been 20 something years since the last snowfall. So, yeah... Global Warming... PS: Its called a cold front...Because it was 84 degrees the day before it snowed... Thats Texas weather for you.

The differnce betwen snow in the north and the snow in Texas is about 1500 miles. Sleet is rain that freezes on the way to the ground.

I think you are refering to sleet. This is frozen rain and not snow.
