It is freezing here too... take some warm (not hot) water and pour on your windsheild squirts and then dry them with a rag. It should help.

Your windshiled washer bottle in the engine compartment is probably only filled with water.
Go toa place like Pep Boys or an Kmart and buy abottle of windshiled washer fluid. it's got a small amount of anti-freeze in it. Then add some to your washer bottle during the day when the bottle has water in it. Then try the wiper squirts. They will probably be okay after a few squirts to clean the lines.

Windsheild squirts would just make more ice, should by those sprays that remove and prevent ice.

Here in Minnesota it is too cold for regular windshield cleaner - you need to buy the cold weather windshield cleanser (it doesn't freeze.)
as for your immediate predicament I would clean the windshield manually, then park in an indoor parking garage for the day and let it thaw. Then replace your windshield-wiper fluid with a wintertime mixture.

you can buy a solution that will not freeze from any auto parts store or wal mart, or you can just add rubbing alcohol to the water and it will not freeze.
