Answerer’s off screen names were conceived in an age emerging from uncertainty. A name for each known eventuality at the time.
Purpose ?
To reduce likelihood possible persecution and discrimination by immoral unprincipled societal groups and races on both ends of the spectrum in what was then, an emergence from troubled times in a troubled country.

Yes I think it does and there is not many other people around with the same name as me, in fact I have never met anyone with the same name as me.
I was supposed to be named ETHEL but the night b4 I was born my dad watched a film and it had a beautiful blonde hollywood actress in it from the 40's (it was quite a raunchy film I believe).
Anyway he loved the name and talked my mum into loving it too thank god as Ethel definately would not have suited me, Corinne Definately suits me but it has to be pronounced correctly like this Coreen sorry for waffling good question xx

My name here or in real life? My real name suits me perfectly. My name here is my small attempt to help the commercial fishing industry in a subtle way.

My name is so normal and so used up I think ... Jennifer just doesn't do it for me anymore ... it does suit me though ... my parents used the most popular name for the years we were born ... my brothers are Stephen & David ... pretty simple if you ask me ... lol ... !
My kids are :
Dasia ( Deja ) & Brody ... I just hope they don't get made fun of too much ... !

I believe so. It's funny how you can associate personalities or traits to names. Like...every single 'Liz' I have ever known has been on the chubby side (not trying to offend anyone - just true for me) or every 'Brenda' I have ever known has had brown hair.

my screen name absolutely suits me, I think. I'm a bit of everything, thrown into a pot and cooked slowly over a low flame. Flavourful and comforting, yet surprisingly delicious and addictive.

Yes it does. I've always liked my name. My Dad picked it for me. The names my Mom wanted to give me were horrible! LOL
Thanks Dad :-)
