No. I have my own large quartz crystals in natural form, and do not need to hike to see more. Plus there are a lot cooler minerals than quartz if you wanna see something just to SEE it.
I think it is worth an estimated -$ whatever you thought you could charge, times 2.

An amethyst is great for cleansing crystals and removing vibes, you would usually charge a crystal yourself though with your own energy.

i don't see any benefit to treking in extreme desert temperatures to see a rock when you can't even collect it.
you could consider the cost of a guided camping tour... but to see a rock? you can find them anywhere for free!
