The most expensive meal I've ever had was at Le Bec Fin in Philadelphia. My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary there in 1998. It was an incredible meal, well worth the $500 the evening cost us. That included a fairly expensive bottle of wine, along with a glass of champagne beforehand and a glass of 25 year old single malt scotch to finish. It added up!

Rogano in Glasgow was quite expensive, especially with the Champagne on top. Vlado's in Melbourne was also expensive, but only because I picked up the bill for 6 people. They were both excellent meals though, and I would pay it again without a thought.

In Biloxi, MS, I went to a Japanese restaurant and spent $120.00 on 4 people.

My now ex-husband and I ate at a steak house in Minneapolis for my birthday once. (Morton's or Ruth's Chris, can't remember). But I had the veal and ordered a bottle of champagne. The champagne alone was $50. Our bill plus tip came to about $225. It was extravagant, but it was my birthday!

Maybe not the most expensive restaurant, but the most expensive burger plate I had was a rip-off from TGIF, Niagara Falls, Canada. :-(
