Computer is about 4 years old. Microsoft Office wrecked my computer. Kodak Easyshare is giving me great problems. Internet won't work anymore.

I'm not a computer guy, so if you answer, please list step by step solutions. I don't know names of parts and stuff.

The blue screen has come up about 4 times in the last month. And the computer is extremely slow.

The blue screen of death will give you an error code that if written down, will give you a clue as to the cause of your problem. You can plug that code into a Google search to find the cause of the problem.

The fastest way to correct this problem would be to reformat your hard drive and reinstall your Operating System and the software you want to use.. If your computer came with a Restore Disk CD, use it to boot from to put your computer in the same state it was when you bought it. Save all your important data first, however.

Are you using programs that are compatible with your Operating System? You must be sure before you install software or it will create problems.

You should always have Anti-Virus software as well as good Anti-Spyware installed and update them daily. Leave them running in the background. Have them scan your computer at least once a week, sooner if you are a heavy user.

Good luck.

Reformat your computer. You will need a windows operating disc to do this. (Preferably WIndows XP)
FIRST & MAIN THANG: Create a Back Up CD...this saves your important files if you dont wanna loose them. If you have nuffin that you wish to keep, then dont worry about it.

Continue with the following:*(This is for Windows XP only*) If you have another operating system, then I suggest you take it in for repair & upgrade. Or buy a new computer.

1. You will insert your windows operating disc in the dc drive.
2. Restart your computer with the disc in it.
3. Press the F10 button when the start up is occuring.
4. You will choose the option to boot from CD
5. Select Install Windows
6. You will get a message about reformating your C drive & that everything on the drive will be deleted. Click ok to reformatt.
7. This will take a few minutes to reformatt your C drive. After the reformatting is done, Windows will continue to install on your C drive. Just click ok or yes when needed. & it will set up on its own.
8. After it is finished, your computer will restart & you will be asked to activate windows. Activate by internet or phone, that is your choice. After activation is complete, you will have an almost new hard drive.

Good Luck

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
