What is the letters you put in the RUN menu box to turn off the programs you don't want to start when u turn on the computer? There are to many programs running on the task bar that I'm not even using. ...Thanks

msconfig

It is msconfig and select the Startup tab. But be very sure you know what you are disabling. Very few people know exactly what is needed to make a program run, whether it loads with the start menu or not. You'll find out if you disable something and it won't run after that. You'll have to do this one item at a time or the computer won't start. good luck!

The trick is not only knowing you need to run msconfig, but knowing which programs are safe to turn off and which ones result in shooting yourself in the foot. There are 3rd party programs that will tell you which ones are needed and which ones are not. Good Luck

msconfig or regedit
regedit is for advanced users only, alternitivly most programs that start up with the pc have an option under preferences to make it not auto laod

i am not sure but i did do that i rang my broadband company up PINK somethign i think or the programs you want to stop go to control panel
