It is. If your boyfriend is saying these things to you, YOU NEED TO WALK AWAY. No one should threaten you, nevermind someone who is supposed to care about you. You need to leave him and if you keep feeling threatend talk to someone or report him to the police.

Yes. That is mental abuse. The person who is being threatened should seek the police. Because as I know from experience they will say stuff like that and then it turns into them hitting you and stuff. No girl need to go through that. Trust me.

What it means is that you are into a psychopath who is spending a lot of time thinking about what it might feel like to actually kill somebody. It means that he actually could do it. The fact that he is still your boyfriend (or whoever you are talking about), means that you are willing to be abused by him, because you don't even recognise what abuse is. Some years ago I had a beautiful niece who didn't recognise it either. She stuck around with the guy until he finally killed her.

In the state of California, per Penal Code section 422, it is called terrorist threats, a conviction could lead to some time in jail or prison.
If he is threatening to kill you, then you need to hear what he is telling you, and get away from him ASAP.
Do not wait around to see if he will attempt to carry out his threat!!

It is mental abuse and illegal. I would report him to the Police and get a restraining order. That's just creepy!

You asked...so obviously what do you think? And ummm, why after asking a question like that are you still using the present tense boyfriend and not the smarter braver past tense of my ex?

he is definatly in love with you, but depending on the tone of his voice and how much he says it it can be harmful. it is considered a deadly threat, especially if he threatens to kill you because you want something your way.. this is usually unhealthy..

It's a good reason to get out of the relationship. You may want to consider a restraining order to keep him away from you.

it is verbal abuse.....which can eventually lead up to him actually doing it. do urself a favor get away and get help. get protection. i've learned that even if they apologize after it doesnt matter they're still capable of doing it.
