Did Nicki return along with Donna as her background singer? I was TOTALLY bummed that Nicki was not in her Re-Invention tour and that GIRL took her place!

No, on the Confessions Tour, there was a different backup singer, coincidently also named Nicki...
When Nicki (Haris) first announced that she wouldn't join for the Re-Invention Tour, she said it was because she had "different plans" that year. That already sounded weird to me, coz I figured she'd put everything aside for a Madonna tour if she really wanted to. Later in an interview she was rather bitchy and she vaguely mentioned financial reasons for no longer collaborating.

nope she didnt. madonna had a falling out with nikki. nikki even mentioned it on her own personal site...i guess they went their separate ways. i agree though, Nikki was awesome, i missed her two on both tours.
