I wanted to, but he was a stranger...this morning I was customarily picking up coffee on my way to work...and the gentleman in front of me paid for mine.....I was stunned....thanked him...he smiled at me and walked out the door.....what a way to start the day. A kind stranger.

I have certainly hugged strangers before, but in the case of carrying hot coffee I probably wouldn't have.

Now it's your turn to do something kind.

I love doing things like that sometimes.

Probably not a hug, but a good look into the eyes and a very thoughtful thank you would suffice! Maybe a squeeze of his arm as you thanked him.

I think the thank you was enough...Had he bought you a car then a hug...Not for a cup of coffee

What a nice guy! Well at least you got to say, thank you to him. You don't see gentlemen this days anymore :)

Yeah you should've done. Hopefully you'll bump into him again and maybe you can return the favour.

No hugging that would be odd, the rule is to pay for the person behind you and then they do the same and so on. Try it...
