no, it is the government their way their time. They do not care that you are destitute while waiting. My ex-husband has cancer he got the ss rather quickly however he had a huge co-pay for his medical insurance and when he couldn't pay it they took it away, so, he has cancer with ss barely enough to live on and no medical insurance. The rich get richer the poor get poorer.

No. You need to read all the fine print. It take months and months to get SSA and because it's a government agency, you can not sue due to delay.
