i wouldn't be too worried if it only happens once or twice. it could be the air in his room is too dry. try putting a humidifier in the room, or alternatively, put metal containers filled with water on radiators (if you have them).

I wouldn't worry to much about it my little sister used to get nose bleeds all the time! The doctor had my parents put a humidifier in her bed room at night and it helped. The air was just to dry for her. I'd probably still go the doctor just so they can check the baby out.

Unless he has a fever or something else happening, no. I wouldnt be too concerned.

He might have a cold coming on, or bashed his nose while sleeping, or just stuck a finger in his nose while sleeping... could be anything.

If it happens often see your doctor. But one random bloody nose isnt a cause for panic. Kids get them from time to time. Its not a death warrent.

Have you checked the child's fingernails? They could be too long; which would cut the nose when the child scratches.
You might also soon begin to notice long scratch marks on the face and body which might baffle you. It will probable be the same problem. Cut nails often...they grow very fast.

My son has done that but it was because he picked his nose so hard that it bled. Check your baby's hands and/or fingers for blood and that may be the reason.
