Girlfriend, I would like to know that too. I had a migraine yesterday and the dishes were still in the sink waiting for me this morning.

Ha ha - even if you work full time, if you as a mom get sick, life goes on and you still have to do all that you do at home every day. Mom's only get sick days when they end up so sick that they are in the hospital!

I wish!!

I always have my retired aunt on standy-by if I'm sick, but unless I'm throwing up everywhere I just suck it in and care for my son.

Find a daycare to accept you and take your son/daughter there once a week. You get some time off and you can use that daycare if you're sick.

I think the only way to get a sick day is to leave the house and dont leave a forwarding address. :) Ive even been bothered while in hospital!

Trade-offs with other full-time moms. When they get sick, watch their kids for them. When you get sick, ask them to watch yours.

You mean the days when you don't do any dishwashing, nor laundry, nor vacuuming? Get someone to bring home some take out food for dinner?

Love those days. Too bad I have to be sick to have one of them.

ha ha ha

not one of the benefits of the job, fer sure

Any helpful grandparents around? If not, the spouse's employer MIGHT be compassionate enough to allow for sick time. I think government jobs have a limited provision for it, but don't quote me on that.

Very good question...:) Really not possible other than asking the father to take a day off of his work in order to spell you off.

When she (we) choose to. Leave the kids with hubby for a while and go to mom's for a nice cup of chicken soup.
