As a rule, the democratic leadership is no more and no less educated than the loyal opposition. Where the difference seems to occur is in the general population. The Democratic party has targeted the poor and undereducated as a key demographic. They also tend to carry the lower middle-class. The upper-middle class and wealthy tend to vote Republican. They also tend to have more education. The exception seems to be young college students, who start out life more to the left and generally move more and more to the right as they go out into the world.
I'm not trying to make this a plug for either the Democrats or the Republicans. Each fulfills a need for their constituents. However, I would say your premise is correct. The majority of Democrats are under educated in comparison to the Republicans. It holds water.

Hold on there. I disagree with just about everything Democrat, and if they said it was daytime, I'd look out the window to check, but to say they are not educated is not factually supported, and to say that educated people wouldn't be liberal is actually the opposite.
But having a higher level of education doesn't make them right or their political beliefs worthy.
For instance, despite the overt and unmitigated failure of communism in the real world, the strongest belief in it and support for it is found in universities among academics.
The strongest opposition to free-market capitalism, the economic system that has brought the most prosperity to the most people, is strongest amonst the learned also.
Academic achievement does not mean a person has any common sense or can take any lessons from history. It does mean achievement in one narrow area, but it does not mean they have any worthwhile contributions in any other area.
And it certainly does not mean they know better than people who don't live in the sheltered ivory towers of academia; usually it is just the opposite.

Democrat's must have more common sense than republicans.
We don't blindly follow the leading "Villiage Idiot" who currently lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. More commonly known as the White House.
Republicans need to take the Blindfolds off and see what has really happened since the "Butcher from Texas" took office.

Depends on who's teaching them. Most college professors are so liberal because they grew up in the 60's.

Oh my gosh, you hurt my feeling! Can you be more specific? What does liberal mean to you? Wishing for health care for the poor, a decent standard of living for all people, worrying about wounded troops?
I think you are underestimating yourself to have this position. Don't you believe in some of the same things?
What are you thinking and how did 'liberal' come to mean such a negative thing to you?
Stay outta trouble.

Since I don't have a higher education, I guess the piece of paper I got from Princeton must have been for completing the fourth grade only.
Shoot!

have you ever been to a college? ever?
most are not exactly a conservative institution...
I can't believe the party where half of them believe Iraq had something to do with 9-11 is talking about "education"?
of course, it could be.. that you're from texas.... so you don't really know what education is to actually be a judge of it?

have you shown anything here to convince anyone you have an education? all i have seen is attempts at humor and insults from you, much like this question. it is mostly opinions here and rarely does anyone from either side show any proof or evidence to back up their claims. good thing this place is not a real reflection of america. yahoo cons and yahoo libs are a laugh.

Unfortunately, many of them do have lots of education. That's the problem. They spend so much time in leftist institutes getting brainwashed that they can't think of doing things any way but to the left. They usually lack real world experience which is what makes them 'liberals'. Anyone who actually has to get a job, make ends meet, and budget tends to be more conservative.
