How will we get out of the iraq war?

When the Iraqis no longer need our presence for their own security or to secure their place in that region, we'll just pick up and leave. Just don't expect that to happen in the very near future.

I don't know, but I do know that the retreat should be done ensuring Iraq's own national security. They need to be self sufficient in managing their own government. Else, we will end up in total anarchy and leave Iraq worse than it started.

I believe positive results can happen from helping Iraq in the long run, pulling out now will make all our efforts in vain. It was a mistake to start the war, I was never for it... even when everybody was, but now I'm against pulling out... we need to clean up the mess we started... and while we're at it, build Iraq as a powerful ally in the middle east, and if that's not possible at least ensure a peaceful government for themselves.

Pulling out of Iraq, now or soon is a big no no....

The Iraqi people will take on the task of fighting the terrorists more and more. They want peace. They want their freedom. We will "get out" of the war against the terrorists in Iraq when the scale finally tips towards the Iraqi security forces` side.

As things stand, either when Congress gets enough and impeaches Cheney and Bush--and either convicts them or forces them to resign due to their (multiple) violations of the law--or when Bush's term of office is over. I hope an alternative to eithr of those two scenarios can be found--but it doesn't look very promising.

In the meantime more American soldiers and Iraqi civilians will continue to die to feed Bush's ego and Cheney's bank account.
