It's really quite a silly song, isn't it? ERA may have actually passed had it not been for that song's release!

I think the song was a sign of the time. When that song came out, women were still being judged for being divorced, or doing anything outside society "norm". It was a time when there was support and outroar over so many things...make love, not war, peace, etc...

Yes, yes and unfortunately, yes- used to be a DJ (and a good one- just not my fave music)
Back when- some women believed they were under rated and under appreciated. They obviously didn't know how to use it.
