as far as I know crib notes is synonymous with a cheat sheet. When I was in school when the teacher told us we could bring in crib notes we were allow one 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of paper with formulas on it

Crib notes are how someone gets kicked out of school! Students use crib notes (aka cheat sheets) for test taking and exams...often handed down from someone who already has taken that particular class and teacher. Apparently they even sell them to younger students....
Usually they are small pieces of paper that can be hidden well in a sleeve or pocket.
I would not recommend using them...I have seen people get caught using them and it always ends up in a big "F" on the test, if not the whole class!
