In college, I didn't think there would be as many cliques_ _ but on the contrary, it's all about who hangs out with who. . the smokers, the partiers, the hispanics, the preppy people, the mothers, etc. . . . and I'm in nursing school ! ! What is the deal ? I don't understand it.

It depends on what kind of school you are in. Any fairly small or interactive group will form cliques. Like people with be drawn to like people. You never truly escape the group association thing, unless you yourself ignore it.

didnt you figure this out in high scool? theres gonna be a click no matter what place your in. & in nursing there is some also. the rns hang out mainly with rns ,,the lpns with lpns,,the enviromentals with enviromentals ,,,you get the pic right?
