Were we planted here by some other being, as an experiment?

Let's say that in the future people have invented a computer so powerful that it can recreate an artificial world inside it with artificial lives living in the world.
Now let's say that eventually technology advances to a point where these artificial worlds, every bit as complex as earth, can be run on a desktop PC.
There are millions of desktops running millions of mini-earths with billions of mini-lives inside them.
If the first statement is correct, isn't it likely that we live in one of these artificial worlds, considering their sheer number?

yes we are but not just any being, another human. A 12 year old child than is doing a experiment in science class. Teacher told him to make his own universe, and compare the laws of physics between the classes universes.

a good book to raed would be hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. It is nothing like the movie and will either give u great insight into your dillema or it will be a BS book from your question i would think it would help if u dontt want to read it then it basically says we are a computer program to solve the answer to life the univeerse and everything......P.S. 42

Humans are a governmental experiment. They use us as guinea pigs for their drugs, food byproducts, and genetically altered animals to be fed to us.
