I think it's rather arrogant of him to think after only 2 yrs. in the Senate that he has the necessary knowledge and expertise to run this country. Who the hell is he anyway? I think all the media hype has DEFINITELY gone to his already large head...

What say y'all??

He is just getting caught up in Media Hype and sadly he will be the loser when he is no longer the flavor of the month. He has no experience to be president, so I think this is just a media experiment showing the idiots of the world how much control they think they have. They tried it with Kerry, but that moron shot himself in the foot one too many times.

Ability and know how is not what elects a US President. Really We elected Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton. Don't get me wrong all of these men are far smarter than I will ever be. With media and hype and the goofy mentality of the American people you could possibly elect a Monkey if all things fell in place.

Don't forget Missouri Elected a Dead Man to be Governor. And California Elected Arnold S.

You gotta be kidding me. Why must all you right wingers resort to making fun of his name or his purple lips? Lack of experience is the only decent agruement I see. Accusations of being in the axis of evil based on a couple times where he didn't where a tie are completely rediculous. He may not have experience in terms of amount of years. But its not the amount of time that counts, its the density of the amount of things done in that time that does. Bernie Sanders is on what.. his 16th term now. There's nothing wrong with him.. where's the hype for him to be president? Its not like Obama has millions of dollars to spend on himself to get his name out. His persona, outstanding ability to speak to all races and religions, and what he has done in only two years is what puts his name out there. Plus, I dont see anything with more qualification than graduating from Harvard Law as the first ever black president of the Harvard Law Review.

Some times all it takes is a good personality and a witty mind and people don't care.Getting to be President doesn't require a lot of experience or knowledge I'm afraid.IF people like you and you have the money behind you then your chances are good.

I can't believe how many people are voicing negative opinions who know nothing about the Senator from Illinois. He is more qualified to run the country than the current idiot we have now.
You can visit www.barackobama.com for a short video of his background and qualifications, or check out the October 23 issue of TIME magazine.

No, probably not. And Hillary may not be the wise choice either. If I had to vote for a democrat today I think it would be Al Gore. But he probably isn't running.

I agree that the media has hyped him up to be something he isnt. I would like to hear him take a stand on an issue instead of saying only what he thinks the person wants to hear. He is too wishy washy for me.

No, I do not think that he has the experience to try for the presidency. Even though I am a conservative, there are a lot of things that I like about Obama, but I still do not think that he is ready.

He is fairly new to the scene, but he could still make a good president. In many ways, he is at an advantage by not having a jaded image.

what experience is required? how much experience did washington have? it only takes knowledge and good judgement, something we don't always get in a president. maybe someone with less time in politics would be a better choice. possibly more honest and ethical.
