Bought a bonsai tree and have very little instructions as to what to do with it, where to place it, what to feed it etc etc. All general questions. Have looked on line and can only get limited info. including that its one of the hardest bonsai to keep....Help! Does anyone recommend a book? Thanks

Try bonsai4me.com - I find most varieties of bonsai pretty difficult to keep. I've given up after many expensive disasters. Good luck.

I have never had much luck with bonsai, but I would have thought that the place you brought it from would have the best information. If they are merely a suppler, then try to trace the grower, often printed somewhere on the pot.
Failing all that try to look for growers who could help, As bonsai are such a specialist area, each one having different needs I feel you need advice from someone who really understands the subject.
Little Trees is a grower but that is the only info I have for them.

to start with, search for a nearby Bonsai club to get some hints from experienced. Books also help but nothing like talking to those who are experienced with Bonsai culture.
Please do not expose the tree to harsh climatic conditions ie., too much sun, too cold. Do not overfeed the tree. If the top soil looks dry than water and see to it for free draining. Pruning and pinching to be done very carefully. Keep an open mind, love the tree and I wish you good luck.

it may be in dormancy for the winter. gently scratching the trunk and seeing if there is a few eco-friendly in it permit you to understand in spite of if it incredibly is alive. 30 F is purely too low temperature for it.
