No, you do not want to mix this cichlid with your community fish, not for a second. Your Socolofi is a member of the mbuna cichlid family, some of the most aggressive cichlids there are. They should be only kept with their own types.

As far as the aggression goes in your cichlid tank, there are a hundred reasons why it might be happening. Keeping the wrong types of cichlids together, not keeping the tank stocked heavily enough, not enough hiding spots, not a big enough tank... You did not specify what type of cichlid you have. Albino is just the colour phase. Different types of cichlids have different levels of aggressivity; most african cichlids are very aggressive and would tear your community fish (silver dollars, gouramis, tetras, betta) to shreds in no time. However, some cichlids are more docile like kribensis, rams, apistos...

I suggest that you leave your cichlids together, but re-arrange all the decor in their tank. This 'erases' their territories and puts them all on a level playing field. You might also want to get another couple cichlids to dillute the aggression.

Edit: Nooo, not allll cichlids are aggressive. There are many non-aggressive, community cichlids out there, such as angelfish, apistogramma, keyholes, kribensis, bolivian rams, german rams... look it up if you don't believe me.

i would move the fish to the other tank if he is being harrassed by the fish it is with right now, but on the other hand, you should be careful if you do move it.

make sure that the other tank you are thinking about putting it into has the same water temperature as the other tank, as not to shock the fish when you move it.

also, you may want to keep in mind that your cichlid IS INFACT an AGGRESSIVE fish, as all cichlids are agressive to an extent. make sure that he will not only NOT PICK on the other fish that are in your tank you want to move it into, but that they dont pick on him.
I know that tetra's are well known for their biting on other fish fins.

get yourself a tank divider. its a little screen u put in the tank when theres aggression. my parents have had a all cichlid tank for 6 years and theyve used one a few times when aggression arose. never put a meat eater with any small fish and any non meat eaters, especially a betta.

how big is your tank? sometimes you can find a divider to keep the two apart untill you find another tank. but under no cercumstances should you ever put it in with community fish

cichlid is a cichlid no matter what kind of cichlid in which all are aggressive to other fish. I wouldnt suggest it really. Your beta will be the most at risk since they dont swim very fast... the cichlid WILL eat his fins ... Ive seen it happen.

I wouldn't try it. Most likely it will kill all of your fish. Get a new aquarium or an aquarium divider.
