I think it's been changed to 16. I don't know for sure, though.

You can always ask the courts to interview the child and the judge will determine if the child is old enough when they are under the age of 12. Just do you know it can be as young as 8 but that depends on the judge.

I believe the age is 11. But I would check with your local court system.

10 is a good age ONCE he understands there will still be rules and he can't switch out parents because you cramp his kiddie style with rules and what not.

Once he understands this is for the next 8 years or so (he should definately be settled for grade 9 onward).

i dont know it to be definate or not, but most ive heard its age 12.. call a lawyer to find out for ur state..
