Example:Φ(1.5)=0.933 but Laplace(1.5)=0.43319.
I want to calculate Φ from Laplace, how?

I thought LaPlace transform/ characteristic function/ moment generating functions are useful for solving other equations/problem (other than what is it supposed to do).

e.g. when solving a complex problem and somewhere within the problem (or part of the problem) has a form similar or look like a Laplace/char/mom gen, you would apply the result of this form to help.

I have never thought of transforming say a mgf (mom gen function) to a characteristic function.

Use what is given to solve for f(s), the Laplace of F(t)
