When the lifespan was 20-30 years, our teeth weren't a problem. Teeth were never designed to last 80 to 100 years, but we're living that long now, so it makes sense to take special care to ensure they last as long as possible. However, with domesticated animals, we clean their teeth too! Cats and dogs get teeth cleanings (or they are should). One of the first things that goes out in an old cat or dog is their teeth, so it's important. Animals in the wild don't live nearly as long, so teeth are not a big problem.

because we are the ones who put junk in our mouths and you can go a few counties away from me and see what happens when you don't take care of your teeth. Teeth are what I look at first if you have rotten teeth then it shows you have health problems, or really don't care too much about hygiene and now they tell if you are a crack head. I know there are some people that have medical reasons for bad teeth or can't pay the high fees from the dentist. but you could be the most beautiful person in the world but if you have bad teeth it just knocks you down to the bottom. Ugly teeth just grosses me out. yes I do have perfect teeth never had braces I guess I was lucky with the DNA part and I brush and floss daily sometimes more that is my pet peeve with people TAKE CARE OF YOUR TEETH! and no I do not work for a dentist this is my own personal opinion.

Several reasons... we're eating foods that aren't 'natural' so our teeth get more icky stuff stuck on them & we rarely eat the kinds of food (stringy meats etc) that would clean it off in a more natural manner... second we live far longer due to all our conveniences and medical science so our teeth have to last longer too.... third since we have hands & invented tooth brushes we can, and if we can prevent tooth decay then I guess it's a good idea to do so.

Because we're the only ones intelligent enough to know that, clean teeth are healthy teeth. And no one wants to be around anyone with horrible breath.

If other animals used tools, they too might clean their teeth. Some animals will actually die from bad teeth.

Because people eat foods that make our teeth decay. Amimals in the wild don't have this problem.

First, we aren't animals..were mammals.
And probably because we actually have to speak to
one another and smile and we don't want our teeth to rot....
.good luck.
