hy is sarah brightman not as famous in the UK as she is worldwide?
shes the world best selling soprano an amzing person beautifull

She was in a dancing group called hot gossip (google the name it was ITV's version of Pans People but alot more erotic) during the 80's and any male teenager from that time will tell you that they were the main reason you'd go to bed early and lock ya door ! Then she did Phantom of the opera, married Andrew Lloyd Webber (he must be hung like a mule!!!) for what reason is beyond me and then dissapeared from our screens !
But she was a good singer and Very Hot back then !

I don't think people take her seriously,as for years we saw her writhing and thrashing about on the floor with Hot Gossip plus she released the truly awful 'Starship Trouper' and I can only speak for myself but whenever the name Sarah Brightman is mentioned I don't think 'soprano' I think LLoyd Webber's ex and ex Hot Gossip Dancer,..not fair I know...but there you go...as the song says...That's Life!

Brits generally have a superior taste in music, hence all those great bands, with only Oasis being a huge stinking stain on it all. Sarah may have a good voice, but the "pop" music she does is just pompous worthless pretense, worse than even Enya.

We remember her as a tacky dancer in Hot Gossip. Somehow, you can't take her seriously as an opera singer when you've seen her writhing about in a rubber dress.

She has a bad agent. He's not marketing her as an international star.
