When the bird flu or another pandemic happens as they say it WILL??....I mean millions and millions of people ...THEN will we "get it"...What are your thoughts?

I am not "suggesting" a single thing...I am asking for your thoughts on the subject.
We recently had terrible wind storms here and our community literally united...we all took care of eachother..We were all in the same boat...Some worse than others...And yet even those that were affected the worst were sharing and helping and we all got through it together....I thought {yes maybe gullible}...That maybe something like that could happen on a global scale....

They will only unite when we have to fight the aliens ala Independence Day. Bird flu aint gonna do it.

That's a really nice idea, but I think you're a little gullible. The media-sensationalized "bird flu pandemic" will never materialize, just like the whole "SARS pandemic" fizzled out instead of becoming the "next plague" like the media predicted it would be.
I'm not sure what you mean by "get it", but my thoughts are that maybe you don't "get it". You talk about all of the religions and races of the world "uniting", and yet you're not giving any indication as to what type of "unity" it is you're seeking.
Are you suggesting that everyone abandons their religious tenets and just becomes one great big race of non-believing non-discriminatory peaceniks?
Good heavens, I hope not!
The world has different types of people with different values and beliefs, and that's a GOOD thing. We're not all always going to get along with one another, or agree on everything, and that, too, is a GOOD thing.

Don't count on it. An event like that will only act to more polarize the people, with each religious sect blaming the others for having angered God.

Well, that would be one step closer to the "one world economy" that
Revelations talks about in the Bible. So I say that it's very possible.

No, if anything new religions will pop up. There will certainly be people who left their churches going back to them but I doubt there will be any converts.

I think we have spurts of unity. Like after ww1 and ww2 briefly...But I don't think everyone will get it... Nations are too selfish to work together.

I doubt it. That is why will probablly never achieve a disease free world because of peoples lack of tolerance for one another. Then again though...
