she said that its ugly and she just won't let me get it pierced.
any suggestions on how to change her mind?

the plus side about that one is that theres no visable scar when you take it out. tell her that. so when you outgrow it its not a huge deal, and you can hide it by flipping it up into your nose. its a lot better than you getting your lip or a monroe done, because there is no visable damage to your face and im sure thats what shes worried about, your future and people taking you seriously. i know girls that have it and they look adorable with it, really. with piercings you really are making the most reasonable choice! sit her down and have a serious convo with those concerns in it and try again! but i also know girls that have hid it by turning it up ;) but honesty is always best!

i'm thirteen, want my eyebrow pierced. I got my septum pierced a little over a year ago.
All of my family thinks it's ugly, which I can handle.
At work, though, it wasn't appropriate to have showing.
The advantage of having a septum piercing - you can tuck the ring inside your nostrils, and BAM! no more metal hanging out!
tell your mom that you will tuck it in for special occasions, when she's around, etc.

How old are you? Maybe you should wait. It's not comfortable, but if you really want to research it on the web and show her the good safety issues associated with it. (DON'T show her the downsides of it) Tell her calmly how much it means to you and why you want to do it.

When you become 18 do anything you want.
Now your mom just won't let you do it.I don't thing there's a way to convince her.
