Yup, you hit the nail on the head,
I guess we will keep on repeating the mistakes of the past,
it´s like a child banging his head against the wall, eventually he learns it hurts and then stops.
We humans take a while longer to realise that it hurts!

Interesting perspective. First, what do you mean by war? Local skirmishes or world wide conflicts like World War 1 & 2? Not that it shouldn't be changed but history clearly details that conflict is part of the human psyche and might be here to stay. Hopefully not.
The time period between WWI and WWII was only about 21 years. After WWII, there hasn't been another global wide conflict, 1945 to present, so does war create more war? Likely depends on your definition of war. We've gone without a global conflict for over 65 years now and if you check history - that's not a bad record. Maybe humans are learning.

Wars leave scars in the minds of several people. Even if it may be for a cause, there are many innocent people who get affected by way of loosing their loved ones, hindered education for their children, economy ruined and general day-to-day life. It is this, that leaves scars on the minds, which cannot be easily overcome due to the sufferings mentioned.
Looking at another way, if all these energies that are spent in war, and also the resources spent on weapons and war, are given to the betterment of society like eliminating Aids, educating people all over the world, this will enhance everyday life.

Well, World War II was largely the result of World War I. After all, there were a lot of Germans who were bitter about the Treaty of Versailles, and Hitler and the Nazis exploited this. Anytime something is not resolved and there are still a lot of bad feelings, trouble is bound to follow.

The problem is that in war, someone loses. So that person is mad, and causes another war. And someone loses that one. Its a horrific cycle, but we have to fight the war or else the people would take over the world and it would be worse than this perpetual fighting. War is also caused by losers who think that they have to kill people for their religion, or who have to have the most weapons. So, to prevent war, all we have to do is kill all the idiots in the world. Call it a "racial cleansing"

Morihei Ueshiba developed Aikido for this reason. It is a way of fighting gently and lovingly. It is possible to fight a war with positivity and love - not harming your enemy, simply stopping him from harming you.
I think we should be developing aikido further and teaching it to our soldiers. and army. If we could fight like that we would be defending oursleves at the same time as spreading good vibes.

Being anti-war creates more war. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. What you resist, persists. The rocket only has it's flying capabilities due to it's lack of balance otherwise it would be stationary.

it is equivalent to my opinion: faith is an excuse people use to declare conflict on one yet another. it is human nature to belong to a team. faith provides this want and people settle for it with out question. however the leaders of those communities tend to strengthen extremist mentalities (in case you at the instant are not with me, then you certainly're against me, etc.). and that's the type you get the Crusades, Holocaust, and Jihad. @further info faith does not carry forth intolerance. i comprehend very tolerant Christians and Muslims. it is the people who interpret issues actually that are the main deadly.
