I concieved while away for military training. I came back home (from Ft. Jackson) pregnant, and had no idea, and still didn't know until I was nearly 12 weeks. I was finally able to contact the father, and he is very happy that I'm having his kid. All the while we weren't in communication (because of some things that he had going on), he had his suspicions, because he was feeling really lazy and tired, and figured I was either pregnant or he was extremely depressed.
One day he asks me what have I been craving. I told him, I always have to have tomatoes on the side. (Even if it's tomato-based: pizza, spaghetti, salsa. I got this crazy thing for tomatoes!) In shock he tells me how all of a sudden he's developed this taste for tomatoes, too, and told me how he went to Subway, and asked for 12 slices of tomato for his sandwich.
We'll have headaches at the same time; feel bloated from eating at the same time.
He's in Columbia, SC, and I'm in Atlanta, GA. How strange is that?

I know of a case where the wife was fine during most of her pregnancy. No morning sickness, nothing. But for the first few weeks, her husband was throwing up and everything. He finally went to the doctor who looked him dead in the face and said "You're pregnant". So yes, it does happen. My husband, while I was pregnant, got the good part. He had to cravings. I was stuck with the morning sickness and back pain. He got the food cravings...Go figure.

I think it's cool.

I am pregnant with our 2nd child. Our son is almost 5 so it's been a while since I have been pregnant. I think my husband forgot how I would be feeling. The first 3-8 weeks I was sicker than a dog. I mean the all day sickness had me to where I could barely get up and do laundry, dishes, etc.... Anyway, I put a lot of it off on my husband. I was a big baby, I will admit it. Anyway one day he got so frustrated that he said "You are driving me crazy with this!!" I looked at him with the most evil look I had in me and said "I hope you get as sick as I am" It wasn't 3 days later he had what I would call morning sickness. Smells started making him sick, he had heart burn, it would come and go just like mine did. Anyway...after about 2 weeks of that, he apologized and told me he would do anything for me here on out!! LOL

Men can totally have empathy for their pregnant women. I believe it 100%

This is not really strange at all. The father of my child was throwing up and really sick, before i was. He came home from work one day really sick to his stomach and told me that i needed to take a pregnancy test. And sure enough... i was pregnant. I was really close to my childs father, and that's why i think he had the stomach achs and all that. Which is a good thing. Then they appricate you more, and what you are going through... b/c they are there for the ride.
