I have noticed a strong odor to my urine since then. Has anyone else experienced this. My urine is also a darker yellow color. I am drinking plenty of water.
Thanks.

You may need to change your brand of vitamins. The ones your taking may contain too much of something your body doesnt need. I was taking one with extra calcium, but I drink so much milk that I was getting too much and it gave me bad headaches.
Switch to one with lots of iron and extra folic acid. One Source, GNC brand or Prenate GT.

The odor and color is the excess vitamin. Basically, your body will get rid of what it doesn't need. Try taking the vitamin right before bed time that way there is more time for your body to absorb the vitamin, but it is still not uncommon for that to happen... As your body needs the extra vitamins you will notice that this will change!

Increased protein = increased nitrogen in your urine. I would up your water intake. This is normal with extra vitamins going into your system. It's just trying to flush it out. I'm taking Promise Prenatal vitamins and it doesn't the same thing to me. Good luck!

It is likely that your overdosing on one of the nutrients inside the vitamin. instead of taking prenatal many women who eat a more balanced diet prefer Flintstones vitamins. While trying to conceive. They are also milder when you do conceive and less likely to make you sick. A glass of cranberry juice is always good for your system as well, it cleans toxins from the urine:)
Good Luck & Blessings,

the changes in your urine has to do with the high levels of iron that are in prenatal vitamins, the more iron intake a person has the more changes a person will see. don't freak out its supposed to change like that. it would change even if you were taking regular vitamins. check the label..it should warn you of the changes in your urine and well your feces too

If you are taking the vitamins by yourself then it may be risky for you. But if you consulted a doctor then i advice you to please see him or her and let the doctor change the medicine or give you some other way to tackle the problem. Please do not try to do anything by yourself using the medication as it proves to be fatal for many. Self medication is harmful. Visit a doctor near your home and get proper medication. Good luck friend..............
