2.) Also, Use the intercept form of an equation of a line to find an equation of a line with the -intercept 7 and the -intercept 6.
Please enter your answer in the slope-intercept form.

3.) Find an equation of the line that passes through the points (6, 8) and (5, -1).

1) Rewrite the equation as: y = 7x/9 + 1/3

Parallel lines have the same slope. The new line would be y = 7x/9 + b. Substitute (-9, 8), and you get: 8 = -7 + b, or b = 15. Therefore, your equation is y = 7x/9 + 15.

2) which intercept is 7 and which is 6? I'll assume you mean the x-intercept is 7 and the y-intercept is 6. This gives you two points: (7,0) and (0,6). The slope is (y2 - y)/(x2 - x1) = (6 - 0)/(0 -7) = -6/7. You already have the y-intercept, so the final equation is:

y = mx + b
y = -6x/7 + 6

3) The slope is computed by (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1). This would be (-1 - 8)/(5 - 6) = -9/-1 = 9. This gives your m value in "y = mx + b". Now substitute either point into that equation to find the y-intercept:

y = 9x + b
8 = 9(6) + b
8 = 54 + b
b = -46

So the final equation would be: y = 9x - 46

7x-9y-3= can be written as y= 7/9 *x -1/3 where 7/9 is slope and
-1/3 is the intercept with y axis ( x= 0)
y+9 = 7/9(x-8) (same slope) ==>
y= 7/9 x -137/9
2)I suppose that the points are (7,0) intercep with Ox and (0,6)
intercept with oy
Then

x/7 +y/6 =1

4.the slope is (8+1)/(6-5 )=9

y+1= 9*(x-5) y=9x-46 9 is slope 46 is intercept

1) y = 7/9 x - 3/9
m = 7/9 : slope
lines are parallelvso equal slope
y = 7/9 x + b
to find b replace x,y by the value of the point passing thru this line
8 = 7/9(-9) + b
8 = -7 + b => b=15
y= 7/9 x + 15

2) x intercept is 7 and y-intercept is 6?????
if so then y = mx + b
y=0 so x = 7 => 0 = 7m + b
x=0 s0 y=6 so b=6
and m = -6/7
so y = -6/7 x + 6

3) y= mx + b
m=(yb-ya)/(xb-xa)=(8 - -1)/(6 - 5)=9
y = 9x +b
to find b replace (6,8) coordinates in equation
8 = 9*6 + b
b=-46
y = 9x - 46
