Q: Which states or future states did Washington visit in his lifetime?
A: Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia. It is not unlikely that he was within the bounds of Vermont during his trip to Lake Champlain in 1783.
(he also went to barbados with his half-brother once)

He never visited either as states. West Virginia was simply a region within Virginia until the Civil War, and Ohio wasn't admitted to the Union until 1803, 4 years after Washington's death.

One point of clarification...it wasn't West Virginia when George Washington was there...it was Virginia. West Virginia did not become a state until 1863.

the in common words way this happens is that if Oklahoma beats the Kansas/Mizzou winner, and WVU beats Pitt. WVU beating Pitt is a surprising guess. If Oklahoma wins the vast 12 championship interest, Ohio State should be in, in the different case, they're going to play interior the Rose Bowl. no longer a nasty convenience prize.
