Going to a concert the other night got me wondering about this. If you are into hard music and always have been, when do you think you are too old to go to a gig/concert/whatever? Are you ever too old? I grew up listening to all kinds of metal/thrash/punk/etc, I still like it all and most likely always will. Do I give up going to shows at some point because other people will think I am old?
Think about this... if you are in the 14-25ish range now and are into hard core/metal/nu/deth/goth/etc, when do you think you will stop listening to it? If you believe you will always like it, when do you decide to stop hitting up shows or dressing the way you feel comfortable? Where is the line drawn, and do you think there needs to be a limit? I think I plan on listening to this stuff until I am 90, so when do I need to dress and act "old"?
For the record, I still hit the pits harder than most of the younger ones anyway :)

I listen to the newer stuff too... all kinds of Alt, Nu, you name it. Hence the problem as well. I am not just stuck on the old school stuff, I like the new which makes it even harder to avoid a good tour
(and I wish concerts or tires were only $30 hehe)

if you are in to heavy metal or thrash metal, it is never too old! i have seen alot of old timers out there who still dress up ala thrash metal. its not wrong for old people to still bang their heads!

thrash till death!

I'm into Hardcore, Metalcore, Metal, ect. and started to go to concerts when I was about 15. I'm 19 now going on 20, and it just feels to me that I'm either to busy, or tired to go to all of the concerts. Back in the day I would go to something like 3-4 shows a week. Now I'm lucky to catch my favorite band when they come around once a year. Also before at shows, I would go and mosh my butt off the whole show. Now I'd much rather get drunk and stand on the balcony. Also once I got my business job I started to dress normal, but if you catch me in my car I'm still rocking on all the way.

Wait till arthritis sets in and you are unable to do the moves you like!

Or till your wife asks you to stay home and be with the kids so she can go out for sometime with her friends

Or till you choose to spend the $30.00 on new tires.

Everything is relative in this dept. Maybe a newer music will appeal to you???
