If a tsunami hit the philippines, millions would die and the US would be forced to send aid over there. Consequently, we would be diverted from the war in iraq and lose, and the terrorists would use iraq as the starting point to build their empire. Having lost the war, there would be nothing the US could do, and though we would continually fight, the terrorists would continue to overtake middle eastern countries like a cancer. eventually they would obtain hundreds of nuclear devices, and the fighting would cease, only to become another cold war. this would eat up the economies of the US and the United Middle Eastern Front, as the terrorist empire would be called, and soon both of our economies would collapse into a similar state as russia. Then, with the US out of the picture, communist governments all over the world would rapidly expand without check, and soon the world would be ruled by a few, greedy kings with no concern for the average citizen.

Short version: A tsunami to the phillippines would inevitably cause the downfall of democracy worldwide.

As a Filipino, it is our responsibility to take care of our country. The government has various sectors to provide help and rescue operation whenever there is a calamity. Yes, it's possible to occur because our country, Philippines, belongs to the Pacific Ring of Fire which may result to underwater earthquake, causing tsunami. I may assume that not only USA will help, but also other Asian countries especially the Southeast. And because the 12th ASEAN Summit was held here last week, we may rely on the Asian countries' help.

The Philippines is a strong republic, rich in history and resources. And I would proudly say that our country is one of the leading Southeast Asian countries today.
