I hurt my back last year and have never had problems with my legs nor have I ever been warned about it. If there is a heaviness it could be due to lack of exercise, poor circulation or lack of water. If it's really uncomfortable you should see your doctor. Diabetic have problems with their legs.
Good luck!

If the injury happened anywhere near your sciatica nerve, which starts in the small of your back and runs all the way down your legs, it can definitely have an effect on your legs. There are also major arteries which run through your legs via the spinal area, so yep. There's a lot of potential for badness there. The right injury to the wrong place in your spinal column can actually paralyze you from the waist down.
Since you're still able to move, though, you might look into chiropracty or acupuncture to alleviate the pain. I've heard more than one person rave about how chiropractors in particular were able to alleviate long-standing back and extremity pain that western medicine couldn't touch.
Good Luck!

It wont rationale leg disorders and it may be A LOT of amusing. Heres my opinion: When it involves horses use average feel. If they're out in that area always jogging, then you definately driving them would not harm might it?

Yes, if you've had an injury to your Lumbar spine or vertibrae, it can definately affect your legs. You should follow up with a doctor as soon as you can...certain types of foot/leg problems associated with back injuries can be permanent; i.e. "foot-drop". So don't wait.

the most of the times when we hurt the back , we are affecting the ciatic nerve, which runs from the back to the lower legs, any damage on that nerve can cause pain and lack of feeling in the legs

I am disabled due to a back injury and I have a lot of pain in my legs as well. You may want to try some injections, they may help for awhile.

The symptoms you're describing are mostly from a compressed nerve in your back..Your best bet is to have a Neurosurgeon order X-Rays of your back for evaluation....Don't Waite until it's too late,I did and wound up with two back surgeries.
