When you are on birth control, do you still ovulate? Do you get mild cramping too?

Any information regarding what happens to your body while on the pill will be wonderful! I am kind of dumb to thses things :) If you do not ovulate while on the pill, why do I still get mild cramping or discomfort?

No you do not ovulate while on the pill. The pill fools your body into thinking it is pregnant there for ovulation stops. Yes you can still get mild cramping.

Ovulation normal happens 14 days from the first day of your last period.

Mild cramping could be from your bowels or something else not even related to your female cycle.

Nope you don't ovulate. That's the point of the pill - it makes you not ovulate so you can't get pregnant. However, it's not 100% so there's always a very slight chance you could still ovulate. Cramps are still normal although a lot of women find the cramps a lot more mild while they are taking birth control.

No, you are not ovulating (releasing an egg), you do have whats called a "fake" period which may come with cramps but you do not ovulate.
