First, I would ask her why she said it. What is her motivation? There could be many potential reasons why a spouse would offer this: low sex drive; partner to whom the offer is made has a very high sex drive; to please the partner, like it's a gift; to justify one's own infidelity; as an unfair "test" of the partner's fidelity; in the hope that the partner will make the same offer; because of a fetish-like desire in which the thought of the partner having sex with someone else is a turn-on; etc. It could be a combination of these, or something I haven't thought of. Therefore, the first step would be communication. So, the answer to whether or not I would do it would be, "It depends on why the offer was made." If it's part of a sexy game she wants to play, then, maybe so. On the other hand, if I realize she wants to have an incriminating thing to hold over my head, definitely not. In any case, I can't see myself doing it every chance I got -- that's just not my personality. And bear in mind, this is all, like you said, purely hypothetical!

No. I would not go ahead and do it. I would hire someone to follow him and take pictures of him cheating on me. Then, I would sue for divorce. You deserve someone who wants to sleep with you... that's why you are married.
OK. I just read your last addition. You said this is not happening to you...which means you are the one who wants to tell your husband you want an open marriage.... OK, I have the same answer as above: Why are you married?

I doubt it. If I wanted to sleep with a bunch of people, I wouldn't have gotten married. I would definitely suspect that he was or wanted to do the same thing and giving me permission as well lets him off the hook. As fun as it sounds, I think the baggage that would come with it wouldn't be worth it.

No, I wouldn't because I am happily married and very satisfied with my wife and our life together. I would be offended and upset that she suggested such a thing. Our relationship and commitment to each other are too important to both of us.

Are you happy in your marriage? It appears that he isn't, otherwise why would he even suggest it. I believe that you should really sit and have a heart to heart, or else counselling. Their sounds like there is more here than meets the eye. Good Luck and don't jump on his offer to fast.

I would leave the marriage. It seems to be just an excuse to make your spouse feel better for wanting and or doing the same.
Don't compromise your morals if you don't feel its right.

No, why bother getting married in the first place? Marriage is being committed to someone until death do u part, not until you get bored with each other.
