I don't know what musicians Bryan is talking about, but most of the bands I listen to could certainly use what little royalties they're getting. Even if they were rich, it's still their work, so you can't really complain about your own pay ($10 an hour could be worse) and then steal from others'.

Artists don't get that much money from their album sales, the record companies do. So if you download music you're mostly screwing the greedy record companies and not the bands. if you really want to support your band buy some of their t shirts and go see them in concert.

I think is wrong to illegally download music, but let's face the reality: if you like only one song from one record of an artist, there is know reason to buy the record, unless it is worthy of. One thing that is also important is the price of the records; here in Mexico they are very expensive, so we don't have another choice but to find our favorite songs in an illegall way.

I think it is ok to download music, and I justify if by supporting the bands I download through buying their merchandise and going to there concerts. If people that dont do those things things think downloading is ok, then maybe they really dont like what they are listening too all that much, and are just downloading for kicks.

Yes I do, and simply because I make $10 an hour, and work my butt off just to buy a friggin $20 CD, while the musican who made the music is sitting in his mansion, claiming that he is just "doing it for the love of music." And then he goes around and gets pissy when he's not getting that extra 75 cents.

Because people are unable to pay the records, therefore they need to get it for free. This means they need to download from internet.

it's cheap and is easier to download then go to a store to buy it. you can have a hole album and if you don't like one-two songs you can deleted. and is hard to believe that you may like every song on a album.
