My worst job ever was as an exotic dancer right outside of high school. Everyone thinks it's a glamorous job with lots of money, but it shook my faith in humanity so much. I lost friends (they either thought I became "loose" and a bad person (or tried to get laid!), or they figured that since I was clearing about 6k a month I would foot their partying bills, I couldn't tell my parents what I was doing for a living, I met the worst kinds of people who feel that it's okay to treat women horribly, and dangerous situations where I was lucky to have my best guy friend as a bouncer. I was the only one in the agency not doing drugs or becoming an alcoholic, but I was smoking 3 packs a day, bulimic (sp?), and darn near suicidal. People think you get to meet all kinds of hot guys.....you meet the guys who HAVE TO PAY to get girls to spend time with them, and that means allllllll kinds of issues....no, make that freaking subscriptions. I won't go into much more here as there are minors that look at these, but let's just say that I will die before I go back to that kind of job again, even if it means holding down 4 burger-flipping, gas-pumping, floor-sweeping jobs to keep away from it. And the worst part is, when sometimes people find out, they still think I'm some kind of wild woman who is just looking for the next available man's......you know.

I was 13 and worked in the kitchen of a horrible Mexican restaurant. The food was good, but the owner was a tyrant. I was working until 1:30 a.m. on some weekends, and it was greasy, you smelled like the world's biggest taco when you left work.
One girl cut her finger cutting cheese and we got in trouble for throwing away the cheese! What a weird place. The owner did make SURE the girl clocked out before she went to the hospital for stitches.
The only payback I ever saw there was when one of the cooks made the owner's sister a burrito which had one of the rags for cleaning a stove (used rag) rolled up in a tortilla with meat, cheese and chili on it. The lady who was a tyrant herself, was several bites into it when she discovered the rag and was less than totally pleased.
I finally walked out on a Saturday night with the only other dishwasher and resumed a happy childhood. Thirteen years old is too young to work those kinds of hours!

Speaking as a regular at a local Hooters, the majority of the ladies that work there like their job. You can make some excellent money, particularly if you work the bar. The downside is that you have to deal with rude customers who seem to think that Hooters is a glorified strip club. If you have a good GM, problems like that are few. The ladies that work at the Hooters I frequent have all become good friends. We all have a blast!!! Best of luck to you.

My worst job was packaging worm bedding. Don't laugh, it's true. I would stand there all day and seal up the bags of worm bedding. (worm bedding is shredded newspaper and peat moss) The dust and dirt was unreal. I couldn't have seen my boss even if he was standing beside me. But back to your problem, If your boss is such a jerk, call the cops. Get a new job. But remember it's only a job and there's lot's more out there. You don't need to put up with that shi t .
