I'm not trying to lose wieght, it's just been a few days and I'm starting to feel uncomfortable.

Milk Of Magnesia and a lot of water. If you're stopped up, it may take about a day or two, but you WILL go.

it would be best for you to talk to your doctor about it. People's bodies are so different that the wrong laxative for pregnant woman could have the wrong effects. If you are feeling a tad uncomfortable get a heating pad and have it set to a low lvl it might help. If not try taking a warm bath. If you're still uncomfortable, Mylanta may help. GL to you :)

Try eating yogurt instead of taking laxatives or if you are really desperate take a natural laxative pill from the Health food store
but check with your doctor first or a Natural Path doctor would be better as most doctors won't suggest supplements.

Always check with your doctor, but Colace works well. It is not a laxative, it is a stool softener. There is a big difference. a laxative will MAKE you go, a stool softener will help you go easier. Colace was recommended to me by my doctor during both of my pregnancies because I had a problem with constipation. You can get it over-the-counter at Wal-Mart or any drug store.

A good Dr would have given you a booklet of things you can and can't take while pregnant. Call them and ask that you way you know for sure it is safe for you to take.

You can safely take Milk of Magnesia (MOM).

try eating more fiber, and drink prune juice
